Understanding the Power of Family Yoga – A Preview of Our Upcoming Challenge

Today, let’s chat about something that’s become a game-changer in our life: Family Yoga.

Now, I know what you might be thinking, aw yoga for children, that must be so cute! So let’s just clear things up right now, yes seeing young children balance in tree pose and working with their breath can be super cute but it goes way beyond that!

Picture this: a cozy living room, scattered toys, and two munchkins who seem to have boundless energy. Me stressing out because it’s too loud and I can’t hear myself think and just wanting to disappear out of the room and leave them to it. That was my reality (and honestly, some days it still is) but when I started to bring what I teach in children’s yoga classes into my home more I was able to change things up. Instead of disappearing for my own yoga practice, I started inviting them to join me.

This wasn’t a new thing for them, they were used to coming with me to my classes and practicing with me occasionally, but we started to get more consistent and it bought us so much joy. It’s like our own little reset button. And guess what? I’m sharing this reset with you in the upcoming challenge in January 2024 – the Reset Challenge!

Why Family Yoga?

Let’s be real; parenting is like juggling – only instead of balls, it’s responsibilities, snack requests, and the occasional meltdown. Family yoga isn’t about transforming your living room into a zen paradise; it’s about embracing the chaos and meeting kids where they are, supporting them with all their big emotions and big energy!

Family yoga isn’t just about animal poses and balancing in tree pose, it’s about connecting, laughing, and slowing down together. And if you’re wondering how it’s possible, well, that’s exactly what the Reset Challenge is all about.

The Upcoming Reset Challenge – What’s the Buzz?

So, here’s the tea – the Reset Challenge kicks off in January, and it’s like a 5 day celebration of family, mindfulness, and the kind of joy only achieved through some seriously fun practices. It’s not about perfection; it’s about connection. And let’s face it, we could all use a bit more of that in our lives.

What’s in Store?

Each week, we’ll dip our toes into different aspects of family yoga. From grounding beginnings to future intentions, it’s like a choose-your-own-adventure book, but with yoga mats and fewer dragons (well, maybe). There will be family yoga classes, masterclasses and a bunch of fun surprises along the way.

Why Join ‘Reset’?

Why not? Okay, kidding – here’s the real deal. The Reset Challenge isn’t just about learning yoga poses; it’s about creating a space where you and your munchkins can connect, laugh, and maybe tap into your own playful side. It’s about bringing a little more calm into the chaos and finding joy in being present.
